🔖 Instructions

  1. Define the scope: Like any other type of UX research, heuristic evaluation must have a specific goal. To begin, determine what needs to be inspected. Is the issue, for example, with the entire UI or just the sign-up process?
  2. Answer "Yes" or "No" to the checklist questions based on whether or not the evaluated interface meets each heuristic-related question. The product may lack features that correspond to the questions, or such features may not have been observed during scenario execution. The default score in this case is "N/A," which means you will skip the detailed question.
  3. Calculate the results: Once you've completed the checklist for each heuristic, the final result is the average of all questions from a section expressed as a percentage, with 100 percent indicating that the examined interface answers all heuristic-related questions.

✅ Evaluation Checklist

Each of the 10 evaluation rules is based on Nielsen Norman's 10 usability heuristics for user interface design and has been assigned a set of usability questions that support and drive the heuristic's specific outcome.
